MOBO Media

Now an integral part of all of our lives Twitter undeniably plays a huge role in our day-to-day activities, with modern society being all about connectivity. For this reason the world understandably went into meltdown when Twitter, one of the top most visited sites in the world, went down.

Understanding the global inconvenience this would cause Twitter’s status page said:

“Some users are currently experiencing problems accessing Twitter. We are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution.”

“Something is technically wrong,” another notice on the Twitter website said.

“Thanks for noticing – we’re going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon.”

The company also experienced outages on apps and software such as TweetDeck, with the cut out lasting over an hour of a half, which is a lifetime in tweet time!

An outage map created by downdetector.co.uk shows the problem effected users in Western Europe, including the UK, and in Japan.

While users were later able to login to the site, many were still unable to search for users or hashtags on Twitter.

Twitter Mocked on Twitter

Tweeting the news about the access struggles users that were connected could not help but highlight the fact that the message would not be seen my many, something that tweeters found rather amusing.

Let us know your thoughts, have the Twitter issues effected your day?
