Offering bespoke wedding card design and print services, Cardeva was a wonderful business to have on our portfolio. Specialising in Indian wedding cards, this project really allowed us to exercise our creativity, working with the vivacious colours India is so famous for.
Wanting to turn the website from a brochure site to an ecommerce website, our team developed an easy-to-navigate online shopping platform; one that now allows users to search, compare and order their wedding cards in a matter of minutes.
Currently experiencing a substantial period of growth, we started to dig deeper into Cardeva's vision, learning ways the website could enhance these exciting times. With the main objective to keep users engaged for longer and ultimately place an order, we tweaked the design to reflect that. The website now employs clean lines, striking imagery and clear calls to action.
The theme of the business is rather emotional. With the majority of customers being brides and grooms in their wedding planning stages, the tone of the website had to be light-hearted, with our choice of imagery being rather selective.
Kyle, designer as MOBO Media, was honoured to take the lead on this project. Talking on the experience, he says:
Simplification was central to the design concept, with the images of the card designs being the key signifier. Wanting to give the product centre stage, great user experience was something we wanted to nail. Through our testing phase, we are happy we have achieved that.
Since implementing this redesign, Cardeva have seen a spike in the number of online orders.
