MYSPACE SUBMITS TO FACEBOOK IN NEW VENTURE

MOBO Media

It’s been revealed that social network MySpace has signed a deal with Facebook which will allow users to log-in to their MySpace account via Facebook.

A number of other features have been ported over between the two social networks following the joint agreement. A Facebook Like button is in the process of being transported across onto MySpace pages which will enable users to transfer their likes and dislikes from their Facebook profile onto their MySpace page.

With the information gleamed from the Facebook profile, MySpace will then be able to tailor entertainment content to the individual’s personal preferences. Users will also be able to sync up their Facebook status updates with their MySpace account.

The time was when MySpace was top dog in the world of social networking. However with increasing pressure from rival sites such as Facebook and Twitter, MySpace’s popularity has taken a sharp nosedive.

The flailing social network site attempted to breathe new life into the website over the summer by redesigning the site and changing the network’s image from being associated as a place for musicians to network by remodelling it as a “social entertainment hub.”

Do you think the new “Mashup with Facebook” will save MySpace from losing even more users? Let us know your thoughts.
