If you have children in your family then you will be familiar with the tug of war fight, a game played to prise an iPhone or iPad from a youngsters clutches. With modern devices now acting as digital playgrounds it seems that the traditional cup and ball will no longer captivate the youth generation.

With this strong focus on online play Barclays have recently come up with a solution to engage with children in a manner that will encourage expert I.T skills. With the children of today being our web masters of the future it is definitely worth investing out time and money into such projects.

Barclays Code Playground is set to craft coders of the future. On the Barclays website the company explains the thinking behind this project.

‘You rarely see it, but computer code runs our world. Everything from the website you’re reading to the traffic lights on our roads relies on the mysterious world of code. It’s even part of the national curriculum now, and learning what makes tech tick could give your kids a head start in the world of work.

Give them a helping hand by bringing them along to a coding session with our Digital Eagles – experts who’ll guide your children as they take on fun challenges that introduce them to the basics of coding.’

At mobo our coders think this is an incredible tool, understanding the professional possibilities available to a coder.

‘The children of today will be working with some incredible technology in years to come, the younger they learn the basics the more advanced coders they will be’ says a mobo coder, Hraday.

What do you think, would your child benefit from a coding class? Leave your comments below.
