ARE YOU MOBOPHOBIC?

MOBO Media

Before we start we should probably clear up what a Mobophobe actually is.

Mobophobia is:

Verb – To feel stressed and anxious and when your mobile phone runs out of battery power, drops its network connection, or in the worst case, gets misplaced and lost.

Noun –  A panic attack caused by an interruption in your mobile phone service.

Understanding the severity of the condition the Mobots do all they can to offer services that encourage happy mobile-users, creating websites that do not drain battery.

According to Mobo developer, Hraday:

‘Simple sites that load quickly are usually an indicative sign that the site is fairly lightweight and uses fewer computer/processor hungry processes. We create sites that are simple, yet effective, catering to both visual and technical demands’

Responsive design and battery

Mobile users are always on the go, rushing to work, in a café or even taking a sneak peak at social media whilst in school. Although we will never know what mobile users are searching (gladly) we do want them to be able to search with ease, not becoming frustrated by badly developed sites.

The Mobo team ensure websites are flexible enough to handle a variety of situations, loading quickly without any issues.

‘Responsive does not simply mean responding to screen size or device capabilities, it means responding to the user’s environment as much as possible, allowing them to experience a stress-free life’ Hraday continues.

Battery status API

When creating websites and apps we use Battery Status Api, a feature that responds to the conditions of the user and the amount of battery they have left.

This technology permits access information to the current level or device battery, allowing our developers to accordingly set the app or website to alter how power hungry it is. Reducing app-draining features such as repeated actions and animations and altering lighting we can preserve battery life, helping the Mobophobes of the world keep their hair on.

So, if you are looking to create a website for the savvy mobile-users of today then be sure to keep Mobo in mind.
